Australians laugh loudest and longest at themselves, and that's why comedy made by Aussies for Aussies gets the biggest laughs of all. No other network develops and screens as much locally produced comedy as Ten.
Thanks to Google Video you can now see a small sample of the big laughs you get on Ten.

Australia's Favourite TV Personality gets plenty of laughs. Already in its 6th year, 'Rove Live' just keeps getting better and better. Rove, Pete Helliar and the gang run the comedy range from biting satire to poo jokes… and sometimes there are even satirical poo jokes.
But what about a Tonight Show Host who doesn't even exist? 'David Tench Tonight' stars, the world's first computer-generated TV star (Carl Stefanovic was actually the second). Tench can ask the sort of questions that would earn a real TV Host a slap across the face.
Speaking of real brings us neatly to Ten's 'Real Stories'. Are those stories really real or not? Hamish and Andy have created a bizarre world of nearly plausible lies in what is proudly known as 'Australia's 5th Best Current Affairs program'.
Reality is kind of flexible in the 'Ronnie Johns Half Hour' too. An ensemble that includes a make-up wearing cowboy riding a paper-mache horse, a politically correct dog, a couple of Pommie backpackers who kick each other in the balls – for fun, and, of course, the one and only Mark 'Chopper' Read.
Then there's the totally loony inhabitants of Wedgedale, as seen on 'The Wedge'. Although it seems like any normal Aussie suburb, there's something decidedly odd about Wedgedale. From schoolgirl stalkers to apologising sportsmen, the place is full of weirdos. I won't say it's serious. It's not serious, so I won't say it.
Try watching some Australian-made comedy on Ten. Seriously.

However, unlike so many public affairs shows before it, REAL STORIES has been entirely created by Radio Karate – four 24-year-old guys – who also directed and edited the series. And, OK, maybe the stories aren't that real, and most of the characters are played by popular radio personalities HAMISH BLAKE and ANDY LEE with long time collaborator, RYAN SHELTON. And, well, we wouldn't say it's public affairs at its "finest" either, some of the stories are ridiculous, but the title is correct.
